Host Appreciation Dinner in Montreal

The Montreal team hosted it’s annual Host Appreciation Dinner on April 10th.  It was our way of saying thank you and showing appreciation to our hosts for all their hard work and efforts with our students.

Whilst it is always wonderful to see familiar faces, as well as new ones, we wanted to make the event fun for the young ones – so  we introduced a couple of “Minute to Win it” games, which proved to be a great icebreaker and immense fun for both the hosts and students!

Game 1 – Stacking cups

We had them group into teams of 2 (host and student).

The teams were given a stack of 20 red cups, including a blue cup at the top of the stack.  The object of the game was to move the cups one by one, from top to bottom until the blue cup came up to the top again – using alternate hands.  Once the first person in the team completed this, they pass the cups to the next person who has to repeat the process.

All this must be done within the minute!

Game 2 – Sorting skittles

Again, the teams were in groups of 2, and together they had to sort out a pack of skittles by color, into different plastic cups.

Needless to say, it was a lot harder than it looked – click the photos below to watch the videos of our contestants.
