“Raymond joined the CHN team as Relationship Manager – Edmonton, where he grew up and graduated from the University of Alberta with a double degree in Education and Science. After a few years teaching ESL in Edmonton, he made the courageous decision to work in Japan which made a lasting impact in his life. A privileged encounter with a Japanese tea master led him to the world of Japanese tea ceremony and pottery. Along with his Japanese wife, Raymond moved back to Edmonton in May of 2022.

He is most passionate about building cultural bridges between Canada and the world. When people with diverse perspectives & cultures come together, we can forge exciting possibilities. That has been his personal experience and that’s what he hopes our students and host families will develop.”
