Brayden (Bray) was born on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People, known as Sydney, NS. He grew up in a large family with his 4 sisters, parents, grandparents, and the many foster children they welcomed into their home. Bray left the small island of Cape Breton, NS moving to Halifax, NS (K’jipuktuk) to begin his undergrad studies. He loved Halifax so much he has now been living there since 2013. Bray has completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Saint Mary’s University, Advanced Diploma in Addictions Community Outreach at NSCC Kingstec, and graduated with his Bachelor of Social Work Via Distance Education at University of Victoria. Bray has future aspirations of graduating with his Masters of Social Work, continuing his passion to work with students within the school board. Bray has various experiences working with children, youth and adults within community development, leadership, restorative justice, youth facilities and child protection. Bray brings his compassionate, enthusiastic, and creative nature to the CHN team as the Hybrid Relationship Manager and Host Ambassador of the Halifax Regional Municipality, his journey with CHN started in September 2022.

In Bray’s free time he enjoys boxing and coaching at his club Queensberry Rules, cooking delicious meals, sunny days at the beach and spending time with his best pal Clarence, the English Mastiff.
